Profile – History
ORATECH has seven sites spread across the west of France, from the Haut de France to the Atlantic Pyrenees.
At Montaigu-Vendée, there is a 6,500 m² building, machining, drilling, erosion, and waterjet cutting facilities to produce your tools and large-scale metal and composite parts weighing up to 30 tons. This industrial site (Montaigu-Vendée) also has turning and grinding facilities available to produce parts and sub-assemblies up to 1.5m. Our organization and resources enable us to work on all parts with short lead times (maintenance, red wire parts) in metal (including titanium, inconel, stainless steel, etc.) or composites.
In Nantes, we have a 1,000 m² building dedicated to produce pre-production and prototype parts in composite, with the means to implement the various composite manufacturing processes (textile and prepreg: RTM injection machine, oven, press, autoclave, press, etc.). Our on-site organization and skills enable us to produce parts from the technical and economic study stage right through to technology transfer within our customers’ structures.
At Lesquin, Méaulte, Saint Nazaire, Rochefort and Anglet, these buildings are dedicated to industrial engineering services: research and development, design office, product-process methods, programming, project management, supply-chain and commissioning. Our employees dedicated to this activity work for customers in France and abroad, from our sites with occasional travel to our customers or within customer teams for long-term assignments.
Organized on a project management basis, your contact is a project manager who draws on our design, methods, production, control, and quality departments to provide a comprehensive service.

Tooling
Our project management organization, combined with our industrial means, make us fully operational to develop and produce your aeronautical defense, nuclear, energy and toolings and also customized machine.
Thanks to our expertise in machining steel, Invar, stainless steel and carbon composites, we now offer a range of solutions from draping tools, thermoplastic injection molds, RTM molds, forming tools, trimming tools, drilling jigs, checking jigs and handling toolings.
Machining
The diversity of our capabilities (machining, turning, water jet cutting, grinding, drilling, erosion, wire erosion, three-dimensional control) allows us to provide the optimal solution for your complex parts.
Our experience in machining steel, aluminum, Inconel, Invar, titanium, duplex, and iron works naturally places us in the aerospace, defense, energy, nuclear and wind sectors.
We handle the production of parts, iron works and mechanically welded sub-assemblies up to 22.9X9.84X4.90 feet (7X3X1.5m).
Composite
Our engineering skills allow us to master the machining of composite materials without delamination problems (thermoset carbon fiber, thermoplastics) of parts up to 40.7 X9.84X4.90 feet (4.5X3X1.5m).
We are specifically qualified in aeronautics for the production of testing coupons, from series production to the supply of the test report.
ENGINEERING AND INDUSTRIALISATION
ORATECH supports you in your projects to industrialize metal and composite parts. Our engineers and technicians offer you their expertise in solving your production problems (in situ or ex situ services): methods and industrialization, programming, design and production, optimization of your machining performance, etc.
Our industrial culture, developed through numerous projects, product-process development, and industrial transfer, has enabled us to build up solid experience in a wide range of fields, which we can offer you through our industrial engineering services.
Technological development
